I play at my local Riichi venue. It's technically classed as a rentable party room, but it's really more of a combination board-game-room-cum-mahjong-room, with multiple automatic tables.
Restaurants, bars, breweries, Whole Foods, Harris Teeter (grocery store), libraries, Junior League, etc - we play all over the place. Etiquette is definitely ordering at places that serve food and beverages.
I’m in a group that plays at Carabas.
